Managing users

 

As the Administrator, you can view a list of all your users by clicking on the "User Profiles" link. This is also the page where you can login as different users, view user information, and set user restrictions and permissions.

4. Giving Users the ability to reserve more than one aircraft during the same time period

1. Deleting Users

Instructions: To delete a user from the system, follow these steps:

1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2. Select the user you want to delete in the drop-down box and click "Go!"
3. At the bottom right of the user's User Profile, click "Delete this User"

Once you delete a user, they will not be able to logon the system, and will not be able to schedule aircraft, instructors, or equipment.

2. Creating/Deleting Instructors

Instructions: You can make any user on the system an instructor or you can create a completely new user that is an instructor.

To make an existing user an instructor:
1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2. Select the user in the drop-down box and click "Go!"
3. Click "Edit Permissions" at the top right of their user profile.
4. Under "Instructor Assignment" click "Assign Instructor Privilages."
5. At the bottom of the page click "Save New Permissions."

Create a completely new user that is an instructor:
1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2. Click "Add a New User"
3. When you add user information, check the box that says "Make this user an instructor"

NOTE:
Using this method, e-mail will automatically be sent to the email address you entered for the instructor, giving them their login info and letting them know they can login. They will not need to be approved.
1. Instructors are automatically given the ability to reserve more that one aircraft at one time.
2. Instructors are put on the schedule so students can make reservations.
3. When the new instructor logs into the system, they will have their own Instructor Center that shows their daily instructing schedule.
4. Instructors also have complete control over their schedule. They can delete student reservations on their schedule. If they do this, the student will automatically notified by e-mail that their reservation was deleted.

Deleting Instructors
(removing system instructing privilages)

Follow these steps to remove instructor rights:

1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2. Find the user you want to remove as an instructor and go to that user's User Profile.

3. Click "Edit Permissions" at the top right.
4. Under "Instructor Assignment" click "Remove Instructor Privilages"

Once you remove instructor rights from a user, they will automatically be given normal pilot rights. Billing is automatically adjusted for you on our end.

3. Creating/Deleting Administrators


Instructions: YYou can make any user on the system an Administrator or you can create a completely new user that is an Administrator.

Make an existing user an Administrator:
1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2. Select the user in the drop-down box and click "Go!"
3. Click "Edit Permissions" at the top right of their user profile.
4. Under "User Level" select "Administrator"
5. At the bottom of the page click "Save New Permissions"

Create a completely new user that is an Administrator:
1 . From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2 . Click "Add a New User"
3 . When you add the user, select "Administrator" for the User Level.


Administrators have ALL permissions on the system. To see the differences between user levels, from the Main Menu (Home) visit "User Level Settings" then click "Overview of current settings"

Deleting Administrators

Follow these steps to remove Admin rights:

1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
2 . Select the user in the drop-down box and click "Go!"

3 . Click "Edit Permissions" at the top right of the user's User Profile
4 . Under "User Level" select the new user level
5 . At the bottom of the page click "Save New Permissions"

4. Giving users the Ability to Reserve More Than One Aircraft During the Same Time Period

Instructions:
To give a user the capability to schedule more than one aircraft during the same time period, follow these directions:

1. From the Main Menu (Home) click "User Profiles"
3. Select the user in the drop-down box and click "Go!"
4. Click "Edit Permissions" at the top right of the user's User Profile
5. Under "Scheduling Restrictions" make the appropriate adjustments
6 . At the bottom of the page click "Save New Permissions"
