NEW FEATURES | Aircraft Visibility and Management, Elevated.

Scheduling Hub is Flight Schedule Pro’s core product offering that set the foundation for what our platform is today. We have set the bar high with a solution that is proven to increase aircraft utilization for flight school operators of all sizes, but the sky's the limit, right? This newly released bundle of Scheduling Hub features is just the beginning of something even bigger headed your way!

Late Flight Alerts
When it comes to flying, safety is on everyone’s radar, including ours. At Flight Schedule Pro, our crew is consistently working to identify ways to enhance pilot safety through functionality within our platform, which brings us much excitement to announce ‘Late Flight Alerts’! If you’re familiar with our user-friendly flight scheduling software, then it’s no news to you that Scheduling Hub’s color-coded schedule offers elevated visibility for you, your staff, and the pilots who fly with you. With our new Late Flight Alerts feature, our schedule now offers the ability to alert your crew when an aircraft reservation’s end time is ‘Due Soon’, as well as ‘Overdue’ meaning the aircraft has not been checked back in.

Alerting your flight operation when an aircraft is late being checked in benefits you in a few very important ways, all of which ultimately leads to improving the safety of those in the sky. With Scheduling Hub, operator’s are running a more efficient schedule that dials in on aircraft utilization, so it is common to see one reservation booked after another throughout the day. Seeing the ‘Overdue’ alert triggers an instant reaction for your staff to confirm the location and status of both the aircraft and pilot(s) on the reservation and can then take immediate action from there.

Late Flight Alerts was built so that it can be customized to your flight operation’s preference. To get started, navigate to your Company Dispatch Settings and click on ‘Overdue Flight Alerts’. You have the option to pick and choose which alerts you would like to turn on, whether it’s both the ‘Due Soon’ and ‘Overdue’ alert, or just one! Simply toggle the alert to ‘Yes’ and define when to trigger alerts. Once turned on, this feature is permission-based, so you will need to jump over to the User Roles page and manage permissions for those who need to see Late Flight Alerts on the schedule.

Pre and Post Briefing
As we previously mentioned, flight operators who have implemented Scheduling Hub into the way they do business know what it’s like to have a stacked aircraft reservation schedule all day, every day. As a way for our platform to maximize even more on both aircraft and flight instructor utilization, as well as dial in on maintaining accurate records and compliance, we are ready to unveil ‘Pre and Post Briefing’!

briefing

Pre and Post Briefing is a new feature that goes hand-in-hand with Flight Schedule Pro’s existing Instructor Only Pre/ Post feature by introducing briefing stages to the normal dispatch process. Back to back reservations are never a bad problem to have, and with Pre and Post Briefing, aircraft bookings can overlap without causing friction. If you have aircraft sitting, then revenue isn’t being generated. During pre-flight and post-flight, actual flight isn’t taking place, so why not free up the aircraft? With this new release, pilots who’ve completed pre-flight will always be able to check out their reserved aircraft real-time, even if the prior reservation is still actively running through their post-flight briefing. Think of this broken out into four stages:

  • Stage One - Check out the reservation and complete pre-flight
  • Stage Two - Check out the aircraft and fly
  • Stage Three - Land and check in the aircraft
  • Stage Four - Complete post-flight and check in the reservation

Aircraft within your fleet are being reserved for the anticipated take-off and landing times, while pre and post flight times are documented separately within the same reservation. This ensures ground instruction never gets under-reported and under-billed.

Pre and Post Briefing is a feature we worked closely with Flight Schedule Pro to integrate into our daily schedule. This feature now allows us to run more efficiently than ever before. Being able to see, in real time, what airplanes are checked in and out while tracking student/instructor arrival times is a feature I haven’t seen before in other scheduling platforms.” - Sierra Charlie Aviation

Free up aircraft for real-time dispatch and dial in on ground instruction documentation. To get started using Pre and Post Briefing, you’ll want to have your Company Activity Type settings in sight. Once there, for each Activity Type that you’d like to enable this feature, within Show/Hide Fields, toggle the ‘Instructor Pre/Post’ as well as ‘Display Briefing Status’ on and save!

Meter Time Alerts
The last feature to land, but certainly just as equally as exciting as the others, is 'Meter Time Alerts'! Meter Time Alerts operate just as the name suggests, users will now see an alert during the aircraft check-in process if the total of Hobbs Time In minus Hobbs Time Out does not match the reserved aircraft time. We understand that there are instances where time in the sky may be cut short or even extended, so this alert will not prevent pilots from continuing the check-in process. Meter Time Alerts act as a reminder to always double check the flight time being entered before closing out each reservation and will drive better data accuracy for your flight records!

Meter Time Alerts is a default feature built into our platform, so no action is needed. Enjoy!
